I'm Isabella, and together with my business partner Lisa, I run Deluxe Hair.

I have been doing hair for 18 years. The day after I was licensed, I began work as an apprentice at one of Seattle's Top Five salons at the time.

I worked under a Vidal Sassoon designer, who was the lead colorist at the salon. I took classes with her every day, and weekly classes with the whole salon in the evenings. I received a vast advanced education outside the salon, taking classes from the likes of Graham Webb and Rusk designers, as well as small exclusive classes from legendary Vidal Sassoon stylist Trevor Sorbie.
I also attended the more extensive Sebastian Advocacy program.

After finishing my initial apprenticeship, I was made assistant to the owner of our salon, and became his personal color technician.

Eventually, I moved to Santa Cruz, CA and upon my return to Seattle, went to work for a smaller shop where I honed my skills as an individual. I stopped doing perms and esthetician services and focused on cuts and color.

When Lisa and I ventured out on our own, we decided to keep things simple and focus on the services that are most desired by our clientele - cuts and color!

To keep costs down, we do not emply the services of a receptionist, and therefore do not schedule appointments months in advance. We do encourage calling a couple of days before you'd like to come in.
And although we do provide a comfortable salon atmosphere, we do not generally do extensive styling services. We do offer all of the essentials such as shampooing and day-to-day styling.

I personally aim to give my clients haircuts which they are able to easily style themselves, with no more than a hairdryer and maybe a brush. Hair shouldn't be difficult or time consuming, it should be fun and easy!

I feel very comfortable with all hair textures and lengths (people are always asking if certain hair types are "harder" to deal with, and I always reply that different hair types are just different, not necessarily more difficult) and have developed a consultation style and cutting technique which enables me to provide the haircut YOU are trying to acheive.
